Comparative Social Policy 22/23
The aim of this module is to facilitate students to compare social welfare systems using some of the tools in comparative studies and to be able to apply this learning to the area of disability studies.The module examines some of the principal, social, economic, political and legislative factors, which have and continue to influence comparative social policy.
Applied Research Methods
The aim of this Applied Research Methods module is to introduce the student to the process of applied research. It focuses on the practical skills needed in order to conduct effective research.
IWA Person Centred Focus 2023 - Group 9 (Athlone)
This course provides staff with the knowledge, skills and competencies to complete the QQI Level 5 module, Person-Centred Focus to Disability.
Once complete, the student will add to their understanding of how to apply a person-centred focus to their work with people with disabilities in various settings.
